2018 Golden Stirrup Campdraft Wrap-Up
The middle weekend in March 2018 saw the small rural town of Mundubbera located in the North Burnett Queensland, flooded not with water, but instead with enthusiastic campdrafters, their amazing rigs, horses and mobs of quality campdraft cattle. On Saturday afternoon the grounds exploded with keen bullock riders, cracking mutton busting kids, slippery sheep and a gallery of on lookers. The passionate locals who happily volunteered their time to present the Mundubbera Golden Stirrup Campdraft were elated how it all unfolded.
The Mundubbera Golden Stirrup Campdraft 2018 was an enormous success for the second consecutive year due to the combined efforts of the Mundubbera Show Society and Campdraft Group, the mustering teams and the charitable cattle and sheep donors. Also, the Rotary gents and Jaycetts ladies, the cleaners and the vast array of positive, passionate volunteers all contributed plenty to make the weekend fantastic for all.The local business houses provided a tremendous amount of sponsorship which was truly appreciated by the very thankful committee and competitors alike. The entire event brought campdrafters and towns folk together socially for a weekend of campdrafting, rodeo action, fantastic food and good wholesome fun for the whole family.
